Today my best friend and my 2nd family the Major's were victims of a house fire.

Fire crews have a multi-alarm house fire under control in Alsace Township.

The fire was reported as a kitchen fire about 7:30 a.m., at 140 Skyline Drive near Laurel Avenue, emergency officials said. The first fire crews on the scene reported heavy smoke coming from the house.

One person escaped by jumping from a second-floor window.
